MEET Karina - Owner
Meet the new owner — Karina!
After eight dedicated years at Mountainside Animal Hospital, Karina’s role is coming to a close as the hospital shuts down on December 5th. In a truly symbiotic transition, Karina — who has also worked at the Cat Hotel for many years and has been Holli’s right hand — will step into ownership of the Cat Hotel and continue growing the North Shore location starting December 15th, 2025.
Holli and Karina will continue to work closely together to ensure a calm and steady transition.
Karina brings extensive experience in cat care, clinical procedures, home visits, and cat integration. She has always been the one person Holli trusted wholeheartedly to care for the cats, knowing they were safe, happy, and well loved in her hands.

Meet Holli - Founder
Welcome to the Scratching Post Cat Hotel originated in 2015. Through 10 years of experience, she has grown the hotel to facilitate cat integrate to allow for better quality cat care. She initially created the space to rotate cat's around each others free time, She quickly realized it was very possible to teach them how to get along through methods of feeding, treats, distraction, and specific training and care. She comes from a healthcare background. RMT/yoga studio owner/Osteopath. All our staff are trained in depth on how to integrate cats by Holli (if you choose).
